Products I Use? LifeWave!

You’re familiar with how taping words and numbers to your water bottle can change the structure of the water to create positive changes in your body? Well, now you can do the same thing with your body!

LifeWave Patches allow you to harness the power of phototherapy to create visible changes in your body.

So what is phototherapy? The science of phototherapy, which has been around for about 100 years, uses light to improve the health of the body. As far back as two thousand years ago, the ancient Greeks had a center for studying the effects of different colored lights on the body. Even the ancient Egyptians, who promoted health by focusing sunlight through colored glass on certain areas of the body, understood this concept.

There are various patches to address specific goals, but the first patch that I recommend to everyone is X39, to elevate, activate, and regenerate your cells.

X39’s patented wellness technology elevates the flow of your body’s innate energy, fostering overall wellness and an active lifestyle.

Check out all the LifeWave products on my website. In addition to the patches, check out the aromatherapy and skin care products!

Be sure to get in touch with me if you’d like more information or if you’re interested in becoming a LifeWave Brand Partner.

How I Got into This Business

Clients sometimes ask me how I got into this business. Here’s my answer.

I was always a seeker, absorbing new information. I was living in Europe when I heard Dr Bradley Nelson (creator of the Emotion Code and the Body Code System) on a phone call with Kristen Howe (Go Big Coach) explaining muscle testing and that 80% of all dis-ease in the body was caused by old emotional baggage that got stuck in the body and didn’t process out naturally. There was a special offer at the end of the call, which I immediately purchased.

I started to teach myself muscle testing and then started asking about anything and everything that popped into my head. It was so cool that I went on to learn the Body Code system in addition to the Emotion Code process.

A few months later it dawned on me that I was no longer having migraines. No dark rooms, no pain, no pain medication, no giving myself pain shots, no throwing up from pain and nausea, nothing.

And the only thing different was that I had been working with this new system. So I started helping other people who also felt stuck in emotional or physical pain cycles who have gone through all the medical possibilities without relief. Now that has grown into a business of helping people (and young healers) grow into the version of themselves they know they can be. And it’s fantastic. 🌺

Energy Meridians

When you are alert and focused and you feel physically empowered, you speak of feeling energized. When you are energetic instead of lethargic, your mind, emotional state, and physical body all seem to be wide-awake and ready for action. According to traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) this is because there is an identifiable pathway through your body where your life force energy – Qi – flows.

If you experience a lot of stress at work or you are not very active you can disrupt this healthy energy flow. Breathing impure air or living in a clutter-filled environment can also block or disrupt the healthy flow of your vital energy. This happens at specific meridian points identified by TCM. The use of acupuncture and other Chinese medicinal practices keeps your meridians – energy highways – open and flowing freely, leading to the fulfillment and overall wellness.

The 12 Energy Meridians in TCM

Different Asian energy healing methods may identify fewer or more than the 12 energy channels usually recognized by traditional Chinese medicine practitioners. In many cases, TCM describes Qi energy as flowing from your chest along 3 Yin channels located inside your body near your lungs, pericardium and heart. There are 3 Yang meridians which flow to your head.

An additional, 6 meridians are located near the stomach and bladder, the spleen, the large and small intestines, and the kidney. All these energy highways connect with major parts of your physical body, like your feet, legs, and head. If you can imagine an interconnected network of highways, you can visualize how a block in one energy meridian can cause problems throughout the body.

What Are the Extraordinary Meridians?

In addition to the 12 energy channels recognized by traditional Chinese medicine, there are “extraordinary meridians”. These helps to further improve a healthy flow of life force energy by monitoring the movement of Qi through the 12 major pathways. They also improve overall well-being by boosting the health of your kidneys, influencing healthy blood flow and circulation, and improving the health of your immune system so your energy flows freely and naturally.

Western medicine is not always quick to agree with natural or alternative healing practices which have archaic origins. This is unfortunate, because the understanding that a life force energy moves through all living beings can profoundly affect your health.

We can talk about balancing your energy meridians if more traditional and accepted healing practices have not given you the results you are looking for.

What’s a Naturopath?

A “naturopath” is a naturopathic doctor who has been trained to combine nature and science to heal your body.  Naturopathic physicians are trained to provide diagnosis and treatment using natural methods.

To become a naturopath, a person must attend a four-year naturopathic medical school where they learn about disease prevention and how to optimize wellness.  They learn principles of nutrition, plant medicine, psychology, counseling, and homeopathic medicine.

Naturopathic doctors work in private practice as well as in hospitals and clinics.   Rather than using synthetic medications, they choose treatments that work with the body to heal itself harnessing the power of nature.

When you go to a naturopathic doctor, you’ll see that it is in some ways similar to visiting any type of doctor.  You’ll give a medical history as well as sharing symptoms you’re experiencing and health goals you would like to achieve.

Your naturopathic doctor may order blood tests or other types of clinical testing.  You may also be asked to discuss your diet and lifestyle to help create a better picture of you overall health and wellness.

Additionally, you may be asked about other aspects of your health such as emotional and mental health, family medical history, and social factors.  All of this is used to create a sense of your overall health.  Naturopaths are working to treat the whole person not just one symptom or problem.

Once you’ve discussed your health concerns, a naturopath will discuss recommendations and prescribe a regimen for you.  While naturopaths have training in pharmacology, they typically depend more on botanical medicine, nutrition, and holistic therapies than medical doctors.

Naturopaths can often perform minor procedures but don’t perform major surgeries as medical doctors do.  In the United States naturopaths are licensed in 17 states and Washington D.C.  However, they are not licensed in all states.

A naturopath can help you to achieve optimal wellness by meeting many of your health needs and using natural solutions.  Naturopathic doctors receive years of training and can provide you with general healthcare.  You may also be able to find a naturopath that utilizes energy healing techniques during their time with you to remove obstacles standing in the way of your body’s natural healing ability.

Grounding – Earthing

Has anyone ever called you “grounded”? If someone says you are grounded, they are referring to you as being stable and practical. This means that no matter what life throws at you, you are capable of rebounding and letting negative experiences affect you. This type of grounding refers to the emotional or mental aspect of having a solid base or foundation.

There is another way you can be grounded, and this is rather literal. Grounding (or earthing) requires you to be physically touching the ground. Instead of being metaphysically grounded and stable, you are physically grounded to the earth. While this may seem a little odd for health benefits, there is scientific proof that being physically grounded can lead to a happier, healthier you.

A 2013 issue of the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine discussed just how important it is to connect your bare feet with Mother Earth regularly. Their research proved that “… grounding increases the surface charge on red blood cells and thereby produces blood viscosity and clumping. Grounding appears to be one of the simplest and yet most profound interventions for helping reduce cardiovascular risk and cardiovascular events.”

Yes, remarkably enough, connecting your bare feet or hands to the earth can positively impact your cardiovascular health. Who wouldn’t like to benefit from a lower risk of developing strokes, heart attacks and other heart-related health issues? The science that proves earthing is a simple way to positively recharge your body at a cellular level continues to grow, and the benefits seem to be widespread.

Why Earthing Works

Your body is basically a moving, walking and portable lightning rod. Physicists will tell you that everything in the world and the universe is made up of energy. This means you as well. Every cell and tissue in your body has an electrical charge. If you aren’t regularly reconnecting with the electromagnetic charge in Mother Earth, you are not recharging the “batteries” in your body that can help you fight infection, inflammation, disease and other causes of physical and mental health problems.

Your body is highly charged, just like the earth is. When you enjoy skin-to-earth grounding contact, you make a very natural connection. You are a product of nature. The earth is obviously a natural being. If you consider Planet Earth as a massive charging station for human beings, and you think how frequently you have to charge your smartphone, you paint a very simplistic but clear picture of how important it is for you to practice grounding regularly.

Look at the Monkey in the Zoo

You have no doubt heard that animals taken from the wild and placed into zoos and cages almost never enjoy the longevity that their wild counterparts do. Why is this? Animal researchers believe one reason is they are constantly placed in environments where they come into contact with concrete and chain fences and living environments. They are often fed out of a plastic bowl. These are not naturally occurring realities for animals.

The byproduct of not constantly touching fresh earth for captive animals around the world is a shorter life, and a dramatically lower quality of life. You need look no further than the sad-looking monkey in the zoo to see the importance of grounding for animals, humans included.

A Few of the Benefits of Grounding

The vast majority of visits to the doctor (often as high as 90%) are because the patient is complaining about stress, or is suffering from an inflammation-related problem. The electrical recharging that occurs when your naked flesh comes into contact with earth destroys stress and inflammation-causing microorganisms. Simultaneously, you promote the development of chemicals which fight disease and illness, while also regenerating cellular growth.

You have trillions of cells in your body. They are dying all the time. The act of growing and living as a human being means these cells need to be replenished. When the negative impact of oxidation accompanies damaged or dying cells, that electro-charged process must be neutralized. This is exactly what grounding and earthing does.

For better sleep, healthier skin and hair, improved cardiovascular processes, less inflammation and stress, and other wide-ranging benefits, kick off your shoes and go for a walk. The most benefits occur when your bare flesh contacts hard earth that is in a natural environment. Look for opportunities to make a connection between your flesh and mother earth, and your mental and physical health will both benefit.

Mindful Meditation

Mindful Meditation for Brain Health

Introduction to Mindful Meditation

Meditation is a form of alternative medicine that has been associated with a number of benefits, specifically to the individual’s mental health, such as decreased stress levels and improved mood. Mindfulness, in particular, is a form of meditation that involves intense concentration and focus on the present.

Mindful meditation requires awareness of one’s thoughts and actions in the present, putting aside all thoughts of the past and the future.

Meditation in Holistic Care

No matter who you are or the stressors in your life, meditation is a sure fire way to improve wellbeing. Those who meditate will attest to its powers. Meditation masters can literally detach themselves from any type of chaos and outside noise by simply going into their minds and into a meditative state.

Enlightenment is often experienced by those who meditate. It brings them closer to their internal feelings, and who they are deep inside.

In holistic medicine, meditation is often used to treat those with anxiety, depression, and stress. It can help relax, calm, and provide a truly 100% natural and effective treatment method with numerous health benefits.

Here are Some Key Points to Remember When Performing Mindful Meditation:

  • Be aware of your own breathing – pay attention to the sensation of air entering your nostrils and leaving your mouth, and the rise and fall of your belly.
  • Let each thought come and go, without suppressing or ignoring each of them. Stay calm and focus on your breathing.
  • If you get distracted, simply follow your thoughts without being too hard on yourself.

Mindful Meditation Evidenced-Based Study

A recent study published in the “Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences” online journal suggested that a few hours of mindful meditation or integrative body-mind training can help improve mood, self-control, and response to stress.

The study, which was published on June 11, 2012, involved 68 undergraduates from the Dalian University of Technology in China. The students were divided into relaxation-training and meditation-training groups. Each of the group underwent either a 30-minute relaxation training or integrative body-mind training over a period of two weeks, totaling 5 hours of training for each group.

Researchers of this study found changes in the brain’s “white matter”- a part of the brain’s anterior cingulate cortex – after performing mindful meditation after just a short period. These changes weren’t observed in the brains of those who underwent relaxation training. None of the participants from both groups had any previous meditation training experience.

A non-invasive, MRI-based technology known as diffusion tensor imaging was used to observe the white matter in the brains of the students, together with other imaging technology that measures the white matter’s ability to adapt and change.

The researchers focused on certain areas of the brain that were most susceptible to these physical changes, and measured these areas before and after mindful meditation training.

The white matter is an area in the brain that affects how it learns, and coordinates and relays information among the various brain regions. According to the authors, understanding the white matter in relation to training, learning, and human development can potentially prevent various mental conditions such as anxiety, ADHD, depression, borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, and even addiction, disorders that all involve the anterior cingulate cortex of the brain.

The most common problem with meditation, just like with any other alternative form of medicine, is that scientific evidence is often lacking.

There is an argument that people who have practiced meditation may have been “conditioned” to feel positive about the therapy, and thus have responded favorably to the training.

This study, on the other hand, offers a quantifiable result that is based on scientific evidence. Because the actual structural changes that the brain went through were observed and measured, this breakthrough study opens up a number of new possibilities in the world of alternative medicine.
