Products I Use? LifeWave!

You’re familiar with how taping words and numbers to your water bottle can change the structure of the water to create positive changes in your body? Well, now you can do the same thing with your body!

LifeWave Patches allow you to harness the power of phototherapy to create visible changes in your body.

So what is phototherapy? The science of phototherapy, which has been around for about 100 years, uses light to improve the health of the body. As far back as two thousand years ago, the ancient Greeks had a center for studying the effects of different colored lights on the body. Even the ancient Egyptians, who promoted health by focusing sunlight through colored glass on certain areas of the body, understood this concept.

There are various patches to address specific goals, but the first patch that I recommend to everyone is X39, to elevate, activate, and regenerate your cells.

X39’s patented wellness technology elevates the flow of your body’s innate energy, fostering overall wellness and an active lifestyle.

Check out all the LifeWave products on my website. In addition to the patches, check out the aromatherapy and skin care products!

Be sure to get in touch with me if you’d like more information or if you’re interested in becoming a LifeWave Brand Partner.

How I Got into This Business

Clients sometimes ask me how I got into this business. Here’s my answer.

I was always a seeker, absorbing new information. I was living in Europe when I heard Dr Bradley Nelson (creator of the Emotion Code and the Body Code System) on a phone call with Kristen Howe (Go Big Coach) explaining muscle testing and that 80% of all dis-ease in the body was caused by old emotional baggage that got stuck in the body and didn’t process out naturally. There was a special offer at the end of the call, which I immediately purchased.

I started to teach myself muscle testing and then started asking about anything and everything that popped into my head. It was so cool that I went on to learn the Body Code system in addition to the Emotion Code process.

A few months later it dawned on me that I was no longer having migraines. No dark rooms, no pain, no pain medication, no giving myself pain shots, no throwing up from pain and nausea, nothing.

And the only thing different was that I had been working with this new system. So I started helping other people who also felt stuck in emotional or physical pain cycles who have gone through all the medical possibilities without relief. Now that has grown into a business of helping people (and young healers) grow into the version of themselves they know they can be. And it’s fantastic. 🌺

How Yoga Fits into Your Energy Healing Plan

Many people practice yoga to improve fitness, but yoga is actually a form of energy healing.  By adding this to your routine you can improve your physical, mental, and spiritual health.

What is Yoga?

You’ve probably seen yoga and maybe you’ve even done it, but it can help to understand the history of it to get a better idea of what it really is.  Yoga was developed thousands of years ago as a way to heal the mind, body, and spirit.

There are many forms of yoga, but in every form the elements of breath and poses are present.  Different poses work to open chakras in the body.  Chakras are centers of energy found throughout the body.  When they become blocked, you can experience dysfunction and negativity in your life.

As a newbie to yoga, you may be a little intimidated by the flexibility of your instructor.  Don’t worry if you can’t even touch your toes.  Yoga is a practice that will help you to become more flexible, but there are tools and poses that can modify your practice in the beginning.

When you’re new to the practice it really helps to work with an instructor who can watch what you’re doing and help.  If that isn’t practical, there are many online instructional videos and you can search for one that feels right for you.

Benefits of Yoga

Yoga has many benefits.  It will help you to improve your flexibility and increase strength.  Some forms of yoga are also aerobic activity and help strengthen your cardiovascular system.

Many people report weight management from practicing yoga.  But one of the greatest benefits people experience is reduction in pain.  If you’re suffering from pain in your joints or muscles, a regular practice of yoga can help to reduce that pain.

Yoga is also kind to your body.  In other words, it can be practiced in a way that doesn’t harm your joints or other sensitive areas.  If you’re worried about reinjuring a part of your body, yoga can help you to get strength while protecting your safety.

Spiritually, many people find that yoga helps to bring positive energy to the mind and soul.  If you experience a lot of stress, yoga can help you to get relief.  If you’re suffering from anxiety, depression, or trauma yoga can be a way to reconnect your body and mind and get relief from that suffering.

Ayurveda

Ayurveda Uses and Health Benefits

Known as an ancient healing system originating in India, Ayurveda is a holistic medical system that focuses on a spiritual way of life. Highly individualized, the Ayurveda treatment can incorporate a wide variety of methods such as changes in diet, exercise, herbal therapy, massage, and meditation.

History

Written between the second and fourth centuries, the first recorded book of Ayurveda is believed to be based on an older oral tradition. Focusing most of its attention on digestion, the book discusses all the principles of Ayurveda. Ayurveda tradition influenced the development of traditional Chinese medicine, which served to further the development of Ayurveda.

The Principles

Ayurveda states that the body contains three forces known as the tri-dosha. The dosha are vata, pitta, and kapha and work in unison. It is said that each person is dominated by one of these dosha. Other aspects of the body that Ayurveda considers are 5 sub-dosha, 7 tissues, 4 states of agni, and 14 body systems.

The principle of Ayurveda is that all of these body systems must be working in balance in order for the body to be healthy. It is believed that disease occurs in the body when one or more of these systems is out of balance. For example, excessive kapha is said to cause people to suffer from obesity.

The Practice

Ayurveda does not only focus on the physical health of a person but also the emotional, mental, and spiritual wellness in order to obtain perfect health and to treat and prevent disease. The path to healing is specific to an individual, as each person’s body is unique and may respond in different ways.

Diet is one of the basic principles in Ayurveda, and is used as one of the primary methods of healing. It is believed that different foods strengthen or weaken different dosha; therefore, people are prescribed a specific diet according to their personal needs. This differs from our usual approach to food where we categorize foods as healthy or unhealthy. In Ayurveda, a specific food may be healthy for one person unhealthy for another.

Herbs are also used in Ayurveda in the same way. Herbs that balance one person’s body may create imbalance in someone else.

Scientific Evidence

We are all individuals. It makes sense that our medical treatments should be individualized, but modern medicine is grounded in protocols that treat people as a similar group rather than individual parts. Ayurveda treatment is grounded in the individual’s reality.

Since the treatments are so highly individualized it is challenging to find scientific measurements to provide proof for the theories of Ayurveda. Although Ayurveda as a whole is somewhat lacking in scientific proof, the herbal remedies have been studied in several trials and were shown to improve heath dramatically.

Uses and Benefits

Ayurveda focuses more on preventing diseases rather than curing them. Treatments are not given to the ailments, but to the body as a whole. Ayurveda is used to eliminate toxins from the body and create a natural balance to reach optimal health. Ayurveda is not a treatment for disease, but is a way of life thought to further the prevention of disease. Here are a few of the benefits of practicing Ayurveda:

  • Treat Respiratory problems – Studies have shown that using Ayurveda can help address respiratory issues that accompany colds and flus.
  • Improve circulation – Treatments such as the use of essential oils or massage help to relax your body and herbal treatments help improve blood flow as well as oxygen distribution throughout the entire body.
  • Skin issues – Bloodletting by use of leaches or needles has been shown to help with issues such as acne, eczema, and skin blemishes.
  • Relaxation benefits – Treatments such as medicated baths or massage help with the relaxation of the mind and body. Along with relieving stress, these treatments are said to help balance and heal one’s mental state.

Research is ongoing when it comes to the treatments used in Ayurveda. Even though a robust body of scientific proof is not available, those who have used the practice rely on their own experiences as the evidence of its validity.

The Cherry Diet

Can Dark Cherries Reduce Belly Fat?

Have you ever heard of the cherry diet? It’s becoming more popular lately because it’s incredibly easy to follow. There is only one rule to this diet – to eat cherries every day and/or to drink fresh cherry juice. Although they are more popular for their taste, researchers are now seeing that cherries are actually extremely healthy as well. The bioactive components and nutrients found in this fruit are linked to the prevention of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, inflammatory diseases, cancer, and Alzheimer’s disease.

However, not only will they protect you from various health conditions, but cherries will also make it easier for you to accomplish your weight loss goals. There are a few reasons why cherries help promote weight loss.

First of all, they don’t contain a lot of calories (the average cherry contains 5 calories). Although a lot of other fruits contain fewer calories, it’s worth noting that cherries aren’t considered to be high-calorie foods. You can easily satisfy your hunger with a dozen cherries, which roughly amounts to 60 calories.

Cherries do a good job of satisfying your hunger because they are rich in fiber. Most weight-loss diets suggest that you should consume more fiber, since this nutrient isn’t easily digested by your body. In other words, you will have to drink a lot of water in order to move it through your digestive system. This will help you with your weight loss goals because the water will contribute to the feeling of fullness.

It’s also worth mentioning that many people often confuse thirst with hunger, so staying hydrated can prevent you from overeating. The great thing about fiber is that consuming it will help you feel full for an extended time period. This means that it will actually help prevent you from overeating foods that are potentially high in calories.

Additionally, the soluble type of fiber that absorbs water helps you by slowing the absorption of sugars, thus making your body store less fat.

Dark cherries also contain compounds known as anthocyanins, which will help you reduce belly fat. Back in 2008, the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry published a study which showed just how powerful these compounds are when it comes to reduced belly fat (http://www.nutraingredients.com/Research/Anthocyanins-show-potent-anti-obesity-potential-study).

Anthocyanins are flavonoid pigments that are found in a lot of different fruits and vegetables. Although there is still a lot of research to be done on the way anthocyanins are absorbed and distributed in the tissues of our bodies, researchers generally agree that these compounds can be a powerful tool for weight loss.

Although cherries definitely can help you reduce belly fat, simply adding them to your existing diet won’t do the trick. There are no magical foods that you will help you shed those extra pounds simply by consuming them.

Cherries will help you reach your weight loss goals, but you will also need to make sure that your diet is filled with other fresh produce. You should avoid eating junk food and you should exercise regularly if you want to shed those extra pounds.

With that being said, you should definitely consider incorporating cherries into your diet and consume them whenever you feel the urge to snack on something healthy. By keeping your fridge stocked with washed cherries, you will always have a snack ready to munch on.

However, just because you decided to include more cherries into your diet doesn’t mean that you should forget about other fruits. Consuming a variety of fruit is important in order to maintain proper health. If you eat the rainbow you can get a good variety of nutrients.

And if you have cravings you just can’t handle on your own, schedule a session and we’ll take care of whatever is beneath those cravings and is keeping you stuck at your current weight.

Eating Clean

5 Tips For Eating Clean

Eating clean means making sure you choose the healthiest option in each food group. In order to eat clean you need to know what your food is made of and, if possible, consume it in its natural form. If you want to start living healthier but aren’t sure exactly what to change in your diet, here are five great tips for eating clean.

Stock Up On Fresh Produce

The type of diet that you’re following doesn’t really matter – you’ll always need to stock up on fresh produce. This is the golden rule of proper nutrition, as your body needs fresh fruits and vegetables in order to function properly. You can’t get this amount of minerals, vitamins, and other crucial nutrients from other types of food. Not to mention that eating fresh produce is much healthier and more natural than taking supplements.

Many people don’t eat as many fruits and veggies as they should. To get a great nutrient spread you’ll need to bring some variety into your dishes. The best way to do this is to learn when certain fruits and veggies are in season, since that’s when they’ll taste better. If you’re a world traveler, I’m sure you’ve noticed that restaurants in some countries only serve fruits and vegetables that are in season. The color and the flavor of the food adds to the experience, and puts the greatest amount of nutrients possible on your plate.

If you have a garden, you can also plant some herbs and spices. This will provide you with a fun new hobby, and will encourage you to eat healthier by allowing you to eat foods straight out of your garden.

If you just can’t seem to eat fresh fruits and vegetables to get your daily requirement, consider concentrated nutrient sources such as Juice Plus.  You can get the nutrients you need even when you’re away from your fridge.

Limit Processed Foods

It can be pretty hard to avoid processed foods. Almost all of the snacks available in your local supermarket are filled with too much fat, sodium, and sugar. Processed foods are basically any foods that have been altered in some way, either for convenience or safety reasons. The main difference between eating processed foods and preparing something at home from scratch is that when you prepare it yourself you know how much sugar and salt you’re adding to the dish.

However, it’s important to note that just because a food is processed doesn’t mean that it’s unhealthy. For example, milk can be processed (pasteurized) to remove harmful bacteria.  (Ignore that line if you only use raw milk!)  However, excess fat, sugar, and salt added to foods to make them tastier and to prolong their shelf life may actually cause you to develop  health problems. Consuming a large amount of unhealthy processed foods can lead to a higher risk of heart disease or cancer.

Two rules to remember:

  1. If you can’t recognize or pronounce the ingredients, see if there is another option.
  2. If there are more than 5 ingredients, see if there is another (cleaner) option.

Focus On The Nutrients

A lot of people make the mistake on focusing on calories instead of nutrients when they start dieting. However, don’t get too caught up in the numbers game – focus on the nutritional value instead. Just because a certain food is low in calories doesn’t mean it’s a healthy choice.

Although you should make sure you’re not consuming too many calories, it’s much more important to pay attention to your food’s nutritional value. One easy way to get your essential nutrients while keeping your calorie count low is to stock up on fresh produce – and eat it while it’s fresh.

Don’t Be Too Strict

Remember that it’s completely okay to have a cheat meal sometimes. If your diet is too strict, you might end up dreading all of the meals that you eat – or get into the rut of eating the same foods every day.

Some recent studies suggest that you should have one cheat day – not meal – every week. This prevents your body from going into starvation mode and gives you a chance to ingest different types of nutrients on that psychologically-charged cheat day.

Drink More Water

Drinking water is sometimes all you need to feel full. By drinking 8-10 glasses of water each day, you will feel healthier and energized, which will motivate you to eat clean. Unfortunately, many people consider water ‘boring’ due to the extremely high number of flavored drinks that are available. Keep in mind that water flushes toxins out of the body, keeps you hydrated, and can help prevent joint pain and headaches.
