Attract Positive Energy

When it comes to energy, we know that when you attract positive energy into your life you have a healthier mind, body, and spirit.  But the world can be a pretty negative place.  So how do you attract good vibes into your life in this busy, stressful world?  Read on for some tips to attract harmony and positive energy.

Daily Meditation

Meditation is a simple way to attract positive energy.  It’s also something you can do quickly, easily, and independently.  Take a few moments each day to center yourself, breathe deeply, and calm your mind.

You can also use this time to set an intention for the day that helps you to relax and feel positive.  Using guided meditations can help you to get started if you’re new to this practice.

Treat Others with Kindness

It’s true that you get back what you put out into the world.  When you are kind to others, you open up the opportunity for positive energy to come back to you.  That doesn’t mean you have to be perfect.  But each day it’s a good idea to set the intention that you will treat others with respect.

I actually set the intention to do ‘one good deed’ every day.  You’d be surprised how much a simple act like opening the door for someone or returning a stray shopping cart can improve your mood – and make the world a better place.

If you have negative feelings toward someone else, it’s a good idea to explore that and work to let those feelings go.  Those feelings tend to attract negative energy and make it hard to feel at peace.

Accept What You Can’t Control

A lot of the stress we have in life comes from trying to be in control of situations that we really can’t control.  That struggle is exhausting and it’s a no-win situation.  When you’re beginning to notice stressful feelings, try to look objectively at the situation and determine what things are within your control and what things are not.

As the Serenity Prayer says, accept those things that you can’t control and work to change the things that you can.

Live in the Present

Mindfulness is the practice of living in the present.  When you spend a lot of time worrying about the future, you set up a negative expectation.  Why bring that negative energy into your life?

That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t think about the future and make plans.  If you don’t know where you want to go, how will you know when you get there?

But when you start to feel anxiety over the future, it’s a good idea to connect to the present moment.  For example, right now are you safe?  How does your body feel right now?  In most cases anxiety creates irrational fear, and when you connect to the present you can feel more relaxed and at peace.

Tony Robbins says that another word for ‘stress’ is ‘fear’.  Anytime you start to feel ‘stressed’ or ‘anxious’, replace the word with ‘fearful’.  Then take a few seconds to explore where the fear is coming from.  Is there a step you can take today to release the fear?  Your stress and anxiety level will lessen as you recognize the source of the fear and create a game plan to move toward a different, powerful future.

Energy Healing

What is Energy Healing?

A process by which you “recharge your batteries”, energy healing is an alternative healing modality which has been around for thousands of years. You use the natural energy that exists in your body and the universe for specific health rewards. Not only can improving your energy flow impact your physical health, but it can also lead to metaphysical benefits like improved spirituality and a more complete emotional existence.

Energy healing works because you are a natural energy creator. Everything in the universe is energy. Energy is everywhere, and everything in your environment works to either improve or negatively impact your life force energy.

We know this to be true because science has proven the process. Quantum physics shows how any two energy sources automatically have some type of impact on each other.

Think about the last time you were in an environment that made you feel uncomfortable or unhappy. You were fidgety, frustrated, possibly scared, and experienced multiple negative emotions. Now remember when you were in a place where you were ensconced in positive energy, such as hanging around with your friends enjoying a positively memorable experience.

These are two simple examples which display how energy can affect you. Energy healing works on this belief.

If you think revitalizing your natural energy is something that is new as far as health rewards are concerned, think again. In the Far East, energy healing practices have been used since as early as 6,000 BC. Energy healing is still used today in Japan, China, India and other parts of the world for significant mental and physical health benefits. The scientifically proven health rewards you can receive from balancing your life force energy happen due to the way physical and metaphysical energy moves throughout your body.

There are energy meridians which connect all your body parts, organs and internal processes. When these energy channels become blocked, your energy flow, blood flow and oxygen flow slow down. This can cause physical problems. Emotional disturbances are caused by hormonal imbalances linked to blocked energy meridians, and the same is true for mental health problems.

Energy healing uses a holistic approach to address the entire person, rather than a single health symptom. Techniques like The Body Code, The Emotion Code, EFT (or Tapping), acupuncture, and Reiki make clogged energy pathways free again, so the life force energy which connects you to the universe can flow freely and naturally. This process also alleviates negative energy, allowing healing positive energy to influence overall health and well-being.

If you’re ready to try it for yourself, book your experience now.  You’ll be glad you did.

Creating New Habits

When you are creating new habits, remember that you can have a new habit for different areas of your life. You don’t have to limit yourself to just one.  Here are some opportunities for improving your outlook and your habits in the new year.

Where are You Falling Behind?

Before creating your first new habit, think of where in your life you are falling behind – where you don’t focus as much attention as the other areas of your life. Most people have at least one. Maybe you work hard but neglect your health. Or you eat healthy but have trouble saving money. Maybe you don’t get enough sleep.

What do You Complain About the Most?

Think about the last time you complained about what isn’t working in your life. Do you complain that you are always late to work? That you can’t seem to pay your bills on time or in full? That your clothes don’t fit?  That you never have enough time to get everything done?   Maybe you should incorporate a new habit to mitigate the need to complain.

Choosing Your New Habits

Remember that even if you come up with a list of new habits to form in your life, you still want to start with just one at a time. Even if you have 5 small habits all for the same end result, you want to start with just one of them before moving on to the next.

How do you know it is time to develop a new habit? When the last one you created is something you don’t even have to think about anymore. That is when you know you are ready for the next habit.

Everyone has habits each day of their life, even if you don’t realize it. They aren’t always something you constantly think about. It might be your cup of coffee in the morning or the way you drive to work. What you want to do now is create new habits that will further improve your health and your life.

Track Your Progress in 2019

How are you doing with your New Year’s Resolutions?  Have you set your goals?  Created your task list?  Started changing your habits?

After you have created some new habits, remember to track your progress. Tracking your progress can get you to your desired outcome more quickly and easily.

It Helps to Keep Up the Momentum

Keeping up with new habits is a challenge, since you are adjusting to doing something different in your daily life that you were not doing before. From switching from your morning cup of coffee to tea, to remembering to fit in a workout before bed at night, you need time to adjust to the change. There might also come a time when you lose some of your motivation, making it harder to stick to your new resolution. By tracking your activity in a journal or planner, you can see how you’ve been keeping up with the new habit and remind yourself every day that you’ve created a new priority.

You Can Track Your Progress

Tracking the resolution isn’t just a matter of checking off a day’s accomplishment, but also making notes about how your success is impacting your life. This is why using a journal is highly recommended. You can write about how you feel about the change, if and when you are seeing improvements from the new habit, and what adjustments you’ve made along the way to improve your outcome.

It Helps to Tie Them in with Your Goals

Many new habits are created in an effort to reach certain goals in your personal or professional life. By tracking progress of your habits, you can also record your completed tasks from your larger-scale overall goal.   Maybe you have a goal of one day completing a 10k, so you need to start new habits of walking each day, then running each day, then making sure you are fueling your body with healthy foods. These habits are helping you to reach your end goal.

Tracking Makes it Easier to Adjust Your Habits

Some of your new habits will need to be adjusted to fit into your actual life. Be sure to allow enough time for a fair assessment before giving up on your original idea. How long do you give your new ‘habit’ before you decide to trash it or amend it?  Look through your journal and make an informed decision.  Have you been consistent?  Is it providing benefit?  Have you been sabotaging yourself because you really don’t want to change?

It’s your life.  Design it, create it, and live it to match your vision of your best life.

Great Expectations in 2019

Are you too hard on yourself?  Do you expect to do everything perfectly the very first time you try something new? You’re not alone.  In this world of “I want everything now”, we expect instant perfection in everything.

Here’s a little gym story for you.

Mandy was working on her handstand walk. She was following a little routine her coach prescribed for her.

First, she chalked up her hands. Next, she flipped up onto her hands into a handstand supported by a wall. Then she lowered her legs to the floor, stood up and applied chalk to her hands again.

Next, she stepped a half-inch back from her first attempt and repeated the process. She verified that she was further back from the wall by her handprint left on the floor.

She did this a few more times; just inching out away from the wall a bit with each attempt. On the last attempt, she remained balanced against the wall, but began shifting her body weight from left to right hand several times – like she was walking.

This whole routine was designed to train her body AND her mind to be comfortable walking on her hands. Eventually.

We always want something quickly, but why would we expect to do this the first try? Humans are so impatient, and then we scold ourselves when we can’t meet our internal expectations.

Here’s the thing…  We learn more quickly by taking tiny steps. The tiny rewards encourage us to move forward (pun intended).

What tiny step will you take today to move your toward your 2019 resolution?
